No Coke just Pepsi products. Good dinner salad. Good for kids if they're well behaved. Got portabella burger. Wife got large shrimp with baked potato. American cheese (what's up with that?) in baked potato. Mac & cheese for kids. Except for the American cheese in the potato, this place was very good.

Great food, lovely view, fun atmosphere. Great server Casey, quick, friendly and efficient. Fish was excellent, pleasant dinner salad. Husband's fries were very tasty. Coming back for Sunday brunch.

Good location. Good scenery. Friendly waitress. Food was not good, especially considering the price. The steak was overcooked and tough, and the greens in the salads were old and dried up. Artichoke dip was ok, but it was delivered with strongly (and oddly) seasoned bagel chips instead of tortilla chips. The bagel chips had so much of their own strange character that it confused the dip and made for an overall unpleasant combination.

What a welcome change from about 2-3 years ago. The old mentality of bar rules and management poor appears gone. The food, experience and ambiance are now fantastic. We were greeted by Hannah, a very friendly woman. She was kind and fun with our son. She was attentive tot the table at every turn and her suggestions from the menu were spot on! We ordered a mojito and it was made fresh and mixed correctly. The drinks were delivered and refilled very fast. The food was surprising. In the past when it reopened a few years ago the food wasn't consistent and the staff seemed mis directed. Now I have to say the menu is great for selection. The buffalo chicken wrap was awesome. Very fresh ingredients and made to perfection. My wife had the summer strawberry wrap and inhaled it. That is a good sign! I will be back and will bring more people. Try this place out. You can get here by boat as well!

Beautiful location. Excellent drinks. Fabulous entertainment. Gave only 3 stars because the surf n turf lobster tail was tiny and the steak was low grade. They were nice enough to bring out a new steak though since mine was overcooked.

Really lovely place to spend a summer evening. The mojito is delicious. The cheese curds are great, but the coconut shrimp is way too sweet.

Ehhhhh it's ok. I guess maybe I've been spoiled where I live with really cool restaurants on the water. We were really disappointed with the lack of restaurants on the water in the La Crosse area. There were only 2 that were worthwhile on the La Crosse side, and they were both closed on Sundays (at least at the lunch-hour)!!! I can't believe all the wasted shoreline in this metropolis area! So we happened upon Huck Finn's via Yelp. Although on the water, it's really more of staring at the boats docked in the Marina on a little inlet, not on the actual main river. So, it's a bit misleading. I was also a little disappointed in the menu. It didn't have a huge selection, so I opted to just get a burger. Said burger was mediocre, but the french fries were REALLY good (thin and crunchy with a bit of seasoning). My Mom got a shrimp po' boy which she really enjoyed - she wished it didn't have cheese on it, but said the flavor was fabulous. Overall, we were happy to be sitting outside and i guess in the vicinity of water. And the waitress was pretty good (and friendly!). So this restaurant "did the job" - but I think we both were really hoping for more. And as an FYI if you do plan on going here - it's really TUCKED AWAY and could be difficult to find. I totally thought my GPS was taking me somewhere crazy and had screwed up, but I continued to follow it anyways and was happy to see that it did, in fact, get us to the restaurant! It's seemingly tucked-away in a little industrial area. Without Yelp, or being a marina patron, I'm not quite sure how folks would even know about this restaurant. Overall, I don't think I'd come back.

My sister and I thought we'd try this place since the menu looked good online and we were looking for water front dining. Parking was hard to find. We got there. No hostess at the stand. Horrible service throughout the night. The fried cheese curds were good. I had a raspberry mojito which was awesome and refreshing. Fish sandwich was just okay. Nice view of the water on a Friday night.

Went here last night and had a fantastic experience! We got there and it was really busy but was told that it would be only a few minutes, that there were tables but the staff was full-up. We didn't even get our drinks at the bar when we were told our table was ready (outside). The atmosphere is great, being right on the water at the yacht club, a beautiful evening. Our waiter (Chad) was fantastic! Despite being super busy, his personality shined! As soon as we sat down he asked if we wanted more popcorn (we had finished ours from the bar) and he took our empty bowl and filled it for us. When taking our order he sat at the extra chair at the table across from us and spoke with us face to face. The food was out quickly and was fantastic-we had the (2) cod fillets and the grilled shrimp. We ate elsewhere tonight and the contrast was amazing! Poor service (didn't get our food for an hour!), mediocre food...and it is a newly opened place! But it isn't about the other place, it's about Huck Finns. We would DEFINITELY come back here in a heartbeat!

Shrimp po boy: Meh. American cheese slices? Really?

My wife and I enjoyed sitting outside. The food was great! We both had fish. The salads were fresh and large.

Went there and had great friends ,great music and cocktails. We had ordered a fish sandwich and fries for only my husband. The waiter came back 10 min. later to tell us we are out of fish. OK change to to a burger. It was great but my husbands fries were cold. We only go there if they have music cause we love T.U.G.G. Music is rated a 5 plus 3 great local bands played last night at this place and they did not have the money to pay them DO NOT GO THERE

Drove over here from Onalaska. Worth the drive, don't give up trying to find it. Had the stuffed portabella mushrooms and they were fantastic. Beer on tap, on the water overlooking the harbor. Get a table on the window and get down here!

Food was all very tasty. Had a bacon wrapped tenderloin and lobster tail special for 19.99. It was well worth it. Will be back.

Nearly an hour wait for the appetizer ( and it wasn't super busy), American cheese slices on PoBoy when I ordered Swiss Cheese... Excuses instead of simple apologies. Bummer.

Huck Finn's was exactly what we were looking for. Good food at an affordable price with outdoor seating by water. Service was okay, not amazing but not bad. The food was quite tasty and the atmosphere was just right for a lazy afternoon. It was a laid back, all around good experience.

There are very few places in the LaX area that I absolutely adore, after spending a little over two years of my life there. This is definitely one of them. Whether you sit in the bar or at a table in the dining room, the surrounding150 ft windows make your happy hr/dining experience pleasurable as you gaze out at the calm waters and foliage decorating the shoreline. The staff were attentive/friendly and although the volume level could get pretty loud especially on a Thurs of Fri night, it was a great place to lounge and catch up with friends. Many, many good times have been had there over teal blue concoctions from the bar. The food is also tasty and I recommend the artichoke dip, chicken tortilla soup, and fudgy-yum-yum brownie-cake desert. !!!All are excellente!!!

Delicious lunch, reasonably priced, great location. Agree about the artichoke dip, tasty! Portions are large. Salads were big, robust, not the typical bar food. Great location on the water -- deck area is a great lunch/dinner spot. Clean, nicely appointed restrooms.

after 2 long & boring weeks at mccoy, my buddies and i decided to celebrate and kill time before catching our flight back to LA (los angeles) so i found this place on yelp (wisconsinians please yelp more!) i ordered a burger ... cant remember the name but it had prime rib, bacon & mushrooms. anyway, it was ok. i had to take it apart and ate everything except the prime rib & bun. the bun was soggy & the prime rib was bland & dry. i should have had the apples & walnut salad that one of my buddies had :( the patty & mushrooms were ok. love the water view!! there were some eagles chillin on the frozen lake fighting for food. that was awesome!

We went here the other night because of their burger special ($3.50 for a cheeseburger with fries). The theme of the night was cheap so both of us took advantage of the special and the potato skin appetizers (This saddened me on one end because they had a munster cheeseburger with avocado and mango peach salsa that I really wanted to try - yummmm!) The skins were more like potato wedges with slices of cheddar cheese and sour cream, not the typical mashed type potatoes then put back in the skin, but they were good (and satisfied my recent craving for steak fries). The hamburgers were nothing spectacular, but they were good. What we did really like was the decor of the place. It was spacious inside with an interesting ceiling and beach motif. The outside deck looked nice for the warm summer nights, with its own bar. All this was overlooking the marina, which always makes for a good view. I hear that new owners run the place now - not sure what it was like before.
